I love this business for their selection, quality and the passion they have for what they do. Balsamic vinegars are one of my secret ingredients for my bachelor cooking.

Eddie is the Willy Wonka of olive oils. He is entertaining, passionate, gregarious and informative: I am now a believer in the concept of olive oils being an enhancer of health, with a rainbow of varieties and flavors to enjoy. I love the tingle of really fresh oil in the back of my throat, and the idea that I'm elevating my food by using the freshest available oils around. I love that bringing my own bottle reduces waste and that I can always come in with an open mind, letting my cravings guide me to the next flavor. The balsamic vinegars on tap are what makes the place magical. With fruit and even chocolate infusions, you really can add more flavor to your life! Today, I went with the mango, but I also think the pineapple is incredible.

Swung by on a weekday around the evening after work to buy some olive oil and balsamic vinegar pairing. The owner was busy helping a couple but was quick to greet customers coming in and letting them know he would be with them as soon as possible. It wasn't busy, with a few customers inside, but because of the attention to each person, it took a while for me to buy what I wanted. It is just the owner in the shop. If you can't wait, I would recommend coming in the morning when business is slower. Pro-tip: Save the bottles by washing them out and throwing away the tops. You can set the bottle on the top rack of your dishwasher. He'll give you a discount and reuse the same bottle for your next olive oil or balsamic vinegar purchase. Saves him some money too. ;)

Del' Oliva is a lovely local small business that sells top tier olive oils, balsamic vinegars, wine, and other gourmet food items. I can't believe the store has been around for 15-16 years and I only recently learned about it due to an Yelp Elite event. They can also host private events and also put on wine tastings every now and then. Eddie, the owner, is knowledgeable and super friendly. He's really passionate about food and takes pride in his stock. He offers great recommendations based on what you're looking for and makes a mean replica of a key lime pie via a concoction of oil and vinegar (I should have taken note of what he mixed together, but it really did taste like the actual dessert!). He also doesn't try to upsell you on anything or pressure you into buying anything, so feel free to explore the store at your own leisure and sample the various oils and vinegars in the store! Case in point: we were attempting to buy sesame oil, and instead of filling up a bottle and sending us on our way, he kindly suggested that we use up what we currently have at home prior to purchasing another bottle. This shop is a local gem and I will definitely return whenever I'm in need of stocking up on my oils and vinegars or if I'm looking for a nice gift.

Amazing, one of its kind store selling olive oils, infused (flavored) olive oils, numerous flavors of balsamic vinegars, and other related products from Italy. Owner Eddie is super friendly and patient with explaining how to recognize good olive oils and let you sample them to experience them yourself. The store is not big but is well organized with jugs of olive oils and balsamic as well as some other products neatly displayed among the shelves and middle row! Situated on Burlingame Avenue, a beautiful stretch in downtown Burlingame with lots of shops and restaurants. Truly lovely and unique shop!

Friendly owner who knows a ton about his products and has a lot of good stuff in stock! The price is definitely on the higher side (probably the highest out of all of the olive oil and balsamic vinegar specialty shops that I've been to, actually) so I probably wouldn't make it a habit to come here, but it's worth popping in every once in a while and seeing if there's something special to pick up. I bought a jar of wild tart cherry preserves which were incredibly tasty and also got a jar of Italian green olives which were super low in sodium content and incredibly delicious (this is important to me, I hate overly salty green olives). There's also ultra-premium balsamic vinegar in stock which I haven't made up my mind on pulling the trigger yet.

This olive oil shop is so cool. I've actually been here before for a Yelp Elite event but couldn't review the actual store. I went back to the store today as a regular customer and was delighted to see that the store is still very homey and Eddie is still there as knowledgeable as ever! They have a lot of olive oil and balsamic vinegar to try! Eddie can help you find the right oils and vinegars for you. He does a good job of mixing interesting combos for you to try. There are descriptions on the wall for most oils and vinegars but Eddie does a good job explaining what are the flavor profiles for each thing you try. I found all the oils and vinegars I tried to be delicious. Some were even spicy to my surprise! There is also a large assortment of wine, pasta, peppers, and other gifts here too. I've heard that the rent is very high here so it's very hard to make a profit at this store, so please go and support your local shop!

Edi was so welcoming. doing his presentation was educational and we're so glad we stepped in. Really nice high-end olive oil and balsamic and a bunch of beautiful products for any brunch, including crackers, anchovies, nice imported, tomato sauces from Italy. Definitely a gem hidden.

Del Oliva has such a fantastic assortment of olive oils and Vinegars. Once you walk in you feel as if you have been transported to a Family owned Mediterranean Shop. Eddy is great and we just had the pleasure of meeting his wife!!! Please visit upon your next outing to Burlingame. POV- the black fig balsamic vinegar is Awesome. Please tell them Chef John sent you. 1440 Burlingame Ave, Burlingame, CA 94010

This is the place you go to when you want the finest olive oils and vinegar. Eddie the owner will happily welcome you into their store and help you with all of your olive oil needs! I came in to purchase olive oil and balsamic vinegar to make a salad dressing. Eddie asked me questions to narrow down a selection from their vast inventory. In addition, they had me sample the oils and vinegar to make sure it was what I was looking for. Eddie was spot on in their recommendations. I ended up purchasing their traditional olive oil and lemon-infused olive oil to go along with the cinnamon pear vinegar and apple vinegar. Yes, these are expensive, but you get what you pay for and that is simply quality. I don't think you could possibly find fresher high-quality olive oils anywhere else!!
